WE'D LIKE YOU TO JOIN THE ASSOCIATES!

The Associates have supported the James Ford Bell Library’s mission and activities since 1963. We help to sponsor acquisitions, exhibits, lectures, publications, fellowships, and community programs. We help to build collaborations throughout the community. We offer events and activities only available to Associates members, and we provide support for public events.  

The Associates of the James Ford Bell Library serve and promote the Library’s collections and programs to its global audience of scholars, teachers, and the public. The benefits of membership are many, and include:

  • E-bulletins, timely updates, and announcements
  • Invitations to the annual lecture and other learning opportunities
  • Invitations to Associates-hosted receptions and events
  • Invitations to members-only seminars and informal Associates-sponsored events
  • Members-only opportunities to view and learn about the collections, including newly-acquired objects
  • Invitations to unique curator-hosted seminars

Black Tulip Society $2,500

The Black Tulip Society takes its name from the designation given to the Ricci map, “The Impossible Black Tulip,” an indication of its rarity and value to scholars and collectors.
